Overview
"85% of senior execs said the current telco business model will no longer deliver growth." Telco 2.0 Survey, November 2008
Part of the Telco 2.0™ Initiative, the Telco 2.0 Executive Brainstorm series helps players in the Telecoms, Media and Technology sector investigate new business models at the intersection of content, communications, connectivity and commerce.
The brainstorms are run every 6 months (Spring and Autumn) in Europe. We will be launching an APAC event in 2010. They are large-scale interactive problem-solving events for up to 300 international executives, designed and facilitated by senior industry consultants from STL Partners, using its unique 'Mindshare™' process.
They incorporate new research and real-time market analysis to stimulate new ideas around: End-User needs, Service Portfolios, and Technology requirements.
They are supported by an advisory board made up of senior representatives from across the value chain - leading practitioners from investment banks, VC's, incumbent operators (fixed, mobile, cablecos, ISPs), internet players, media owners, disruptive start-ups, research labs, government bodies, vendors, consultancies, and regulators.
The first Telco 2.0 Executive Brainstorm was held in London on 4-5 October 2006, with representatives from 42 different Operators and Service Providers and 35 partner and investor organisations. We are continually improving the format and, as a result, the event has grown in size and stature.
The next (EMEA) event is on 4-5 November 2009 in London, UK.
The next (Americas) event is on 9-10 December 2009 in Orlando, USA.
