John Woodget
Telco Sector Marketing Director, Intel EMEA
John Woodget is Marketing Director for Intel EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) responsible for the Telco Sector, including the Telecommunications Equipment Manufacturers and Service Providers. John is also Managing Director for Intel Corp UK Ltd., is President serving on the board of Intellect, the IT and Communications Industry Trade Association for the UK and is a Fellow of the British Computer Society.
In John’s previous role as Director for EMEA he was responsible for Sales to the Multinational Telecommunications Service providers, which was preceded by roles as Director for Intel’s EMEA Organisation Development, Director of Marketing EMEA, Director of Sales for Northern Europe and Technical Director for EMEA.
After joining Intel in 1979 he worked for Intel in Europe followed by 9 years in the United States in various Management roles in Sales and Marketing. He has developed new markets and programmes and sold Intel’s products in North America, Europe and South East Asia.
John received his Electrical and Electronic Engineering BSc (Hons) from City University, London in 1974 and worked as an Engineer in Avionics and Telecommunications and as an Industrial Computing Sales Engineer before joining Intel in 1979.
