Martin Duval
Director Business Development & Partnerships with Start-Ups & Venture Capital funds, Worldwide, Orange/France Telecom
He was appointed this new role in August 2006 to develop business development and partnerships with start-ups and VCs Worldwide with focus in the area of Web 2.0 and convergence (web and mobile).
From 2001 to 2006 at Orange, he headed different management positions in the areas of innovation and business development.
In addition since end of 2004, he managed the fast growing Mobile Music activities within Orange France, including the launch of the Mobile Music Portal and the Mobile Full Track Dowload services, thus developing strong relationships and partnerships with the Content suppliers and the Majors.
From 2001 to 2003, he managed the Orange owned early-stage investment fund (Inventmobile) focusing on innovative mobile services and technical solutions.
Since the beginning of 2000: first as COO of a French early-stage fund and then as Managing Director the Swedish fund Speed Ventures in France. Prior to that, he spent 3 years in Consulting as Senior Project Manager in the Management Consulting division of Cambridge Technology Partners in France.
From 1996 to 1997, he was International Business Development Manager for the Accor Group.
He started his carrier in 1990 in the aerospace industry with Eurocopter (EADS Group) first in Purchasing in the USA (Dallas) and later as Area Sales Manager of Commercial helicopters in Northern Europe before to start-up his own business in aircraft financing services.
Martin holds a Master in Applied Physics from the Aix-Marseille University (Bachelor in Physics from the University of Sussex, UK), an MBA from University of Chicago and a Master in Management of Information Systems and Telecom Networks from ENST & ESSEC
