Phil Guest
Managing Director, Habbo Hotel
Phil's career spans TV, radio, magazines and the internet.
After becoming Commercial Producer at the age of 18 for a local radio station in the UK Phil joined the Royal Marine Commandos.
This was not exciting enough so he returned to media in 1990, working first in sales for Emap’s consumer magazine division, then for Capital Radio's Interactive division. Here, he formed commercial partnerships and developed narrowcast web radio, convincing major record labels to allow Capital to digitise over 50,000 music tracks for web broadcast.
In 2001, joined Fox Kids children's television network as General Manager for the UK website and became Commercial Director of Europe, covering TV advertising, online, licensing and programming.
He joined AOL as Director of Strategic Alliances in November 2004 and, as part of a European team, brokered many of the company's strategic and financially significant commercial partnerships. In time, the Strategic Alliances department took on the more proactive role of commercial development and Phil was promoted to lead the UK team in April 2006, working across all aspects of AOL's business - from sales and marketing to product development and technology.
Phil joined Sulake in February this year as country manager for Habbo UK.
